Joshua Ornelas, born and raised in the Bay Area, has been involved in dance education, theatrical productions, and dance performance for the last decade. While working on, and after the receipt of, his BA in Dance Education from San Francisco State University, he taught for Spindrift School of Performing Arts, James Lick Middle School (SFUSD), and Mercy High School. At Mercy High School he served as the dance & theater director (2018-2020). Professional performing includes his long-time tenor with Requisite Dance where he was also the associate director.

Josh is the production and office manager for SFYBA. He also brings a wealth of knowledge in dance pedagogy to teaching ballet and contemporary dance for children.
