Alison Ramoran, from Torrance, CA, trained with Diane Lauridsen at Lauridsen Ballet Centre for 12 years. She performed with their pre-professional company, Ballet California (formerly South Bay Ballet) Alison has participated in many Regional Dance America/Pacific Festivals, now known as The Ballet Alliance. It gave her the opportunity to train and perform various works with professionals from around the world. Her Summer intensive history includes Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet, American Ballet Theatre, Oklahoma City Ballet, Milwaukee Ballet, and San Francisco Ballet. Ramoran joined Oklahoma City Ballet as a Second Company member in 2018, was promoted to apprentice in 2020, and in 2021 joined the corps de ballet. She has now joined Smuin Contemporary Ballet. Ramoran was also presented the Daily Breeze “Making a Difference Award for Outstanding Achievements in the Arts” by the California Legislature Assembly at the 2017 Torrance Performing Arts Consortium

Alison's extensive experience dancing in works by Septime Webre, August Bournonville, Robert Mills, Eva Stone, Robert Kelley, Vicky Lambert, Ryan Nye, Nicolo Fonte, Jerome Robbins, and Jessica Lang, coupled with her passion for sharing her knowledge with the next generation, make her an excellent addition for SFYBA's intermediate, advanced & pre professional dancers.
