Angela began ballet at age 5 at the Shan-Yee Poon Ballet School. She joined SFYBA in 2002, performing in Coppelia, excerpts from Swan Lake and Paquita. She was appeared as a soloist in The Nutcracker as Dewdrop, and also appeared in Daydream and Street Scene; original works by Kellie Foy and Cassandra Seeger. In 2004, she performed in Hong Kong at Christine Liao School of Ballet. For two summers, she attended ballet intensives at the Southwest Classical Dance Institute in Arizona. In 2006, Angela furthered her training at City Ballet School, working with choreographer Yuri Zhukov from San Francisco Ballet. In addition to ballet, she is a Chinese Dance soloist with Peony Performing Arts and has performed in the Ethnic Dance Festival, the Asian Art Museum, Flint Center, and ODC, as well as with the SF Chamber Orchestra’s presentation of From Beijing to the Bay Area. In 2006, she was a guest artist for the California Historical Society’s presentation of A Caruso Memory. This November, Angela will be a guest performer with World Arts West in Santa Barbara. Angela is excited about teaching at SFYBA.
